Get the Help You Need
You may feel shame and embarrassment over a challenging financial situation spinning out of your control. You may have lived your life responsibly, only to experience a sudden job loss, medical problem or divorce. Manageable finances are now beyond anything you can handle. Your house may be in foreclosure and your car is under the threat of repossession. Handling it on your own is not an option. You need help.
Securing the Bankruptcy Options Best for You
At Daniels & Taylor, P.C., we provide you with vital information to help your decision-making process. Chapter 7 bankruptcy may be an option to discharge your debt. You must meet certain qualifications, specifically a test to determine if your income falls below the adjusted state median.
We will not lecture you over the state of your financial situation. Our objective is to help you get through the process and secure the fresh start you need.
Filing Costs: The filing fee for a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy is $306. In addition you must pay for a credit counseling certificate. (This fee includes both the pre-filing and the pre-discharge counseling).
Attorneys fees: Daniels & Taylor, P.C. typically charges $1,500 in attorney's fees in most Chapter 7 cases. However, if you have judgments, garnishments or active law suits, additional fees will apply. We do offer flexible payment options.
Attorney's fees and costs may be paid by cash, personal check, debit card, money order or checks from a third-party. If you cannot pay the entire fee initially, we will open a file and hold it open until all the fees and costs are paid. Once all fees and costs are paid, we will file your case.
In the meantime, you may tell your creditors you are represented by our firm.
