Matthew (Matt) Michaud is a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law and also holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English from Auburn University, where he graduated with high honors. After law school, Mr. Michaud began his law practice in the area of commercial real estate with a boutique law firm in Atlanta. Blessed with an adventurous spirit, he then helped pioneer the use of internet-based applications for the management of commercial real estate portfolios as general counsel of an early internet startup company. After the company was sold, Mr. Michaud transitioned into litigation, focusing primarily on all aspects of family law, including divorce, custody, modification, protective orders, adoptions, and more. Family law has been his passion for the past 10 years. Having personally experienced many of the same challenges his clients face, Mr. Michaud is well-equipped, both legally and emotionally, to help clients achieve their goals through some of the most difficult times of their lives.
When he is not helping his clients navigate the perilous waters of the legal system, Matt enjoys playing and writing music with his wife, Simone, herself an accomplished singer and songwriter in the genres of reggae, blues, and jazz; cheering on his beloved Auburn Tigers in every imaginable sport; studying history; playing historical wargames; camping and hiking; and spending time with his family.
